Overview

Developed by Kashi and hosted by Mods-Center, HyperOS Security Center is a systemless modification of Xiaomi’s core com.miui.securitycenter application. On factory firmware, Xiaomi artificially restricts features depending on device regional market (Global vs. China) and pricing tier, while also enforcing root detection that disables certain security and battery management utilities.

This module overlays an unlocked, patched build of the HyperOS Security Center that restores feature parity, unlocks hidden subsystem toggles such as File-based Optimization (FBO), enables system app hiding, and strips out telemetry checks without touching the read-only /system partition.

Prerequisites & Compatibility

  • Target Firmware: Exclusively compatible with Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO handsets powered by official or port HyperOS firmware. It will not function on pure AOSP or third-party OEM skins.
  • Root Environment: Supports Magisk v24+ and KernelSU.
  • Android 14+ Core Patch Requirement:
    • Android 14 introduced stricter signature checks for system APK overlays.
    • If flashing on Android 14 or higher (HyperOS 1.0/2.0), you must disable APK signature verification beforehand using Core Patch (via LSPosed) or a dedicated package manager patch. Attempting to install without this patch will trigger boot failures or force-closes of the system UI.

Key Enhancements

1. In-Game Media Integration

Integrates dedicated media playback controls inside the Game Turbo floating utility panel. Users can pause, skip, and manage streaming audio sessions during gameplay without having to swipe down the notification shade.

2. Comprehensive App Management

  • System App Hiding: Removes the whitelist that previously shielded preinstalled OEM apps from being hidden or locked.
  • Granular Network Isolation: Restores the ability to revoke Wi-Fi and cellular internet permissions from preinstalled vendor applications.
  • SIM & Mi Account Decoupling: Disables enforced checks that blocked specific optimization sub-menus when an active SIM or Xiaomi account was missing.

3. Diagnostics & Kernel Optimization

  • File-Based Optimization (FBO): Unlocks manual and automated FBO passes to defragment and optimize UFS storage blocks.
  • Extended Battery Telemetry: Exposes raw screen battery consumption and per-component power discharge metrics previously masked in global firmware.
  • Stripped Root Detection: Neutralizes the internal security scanner that flags Magisk or KernelSU binaries as malware threats.

Installation & Setup

  1. Verify that your device is running a compatible HyperOS build.
  2. If running Android 14 or later, confirm that signature verification bypass is active via LSPosed and Core Patch.
  3. Flash the release ZIP through the Magisk or KernelSU module manager.
  4. Reboot the smartphone.
  5. Open Security from the home screen and navigate to Battery and Game Turbo to verify the unlocked options.

Troubleshooting

  • Security Center Keeps Crashing on Boot: This indicates an APK signature mismatch. Re-verify that Core Patch is active in LSPosed and that signature check disabling is checked before enabling the module.
  • Global Incognito Tile Missing: Open the Quick Settings edit panel, locate the newly unmasked “Incognito Mode” tile, and drag it into your active quick settings matrix.
