Overview
On budget and mid-range smartphones running HyperOS, Xiaomi automatically strips the frosted glass blur effect from the Control Center and Notification Shade. Instead of the premium translucent aesthetic seen on flagships, users are presented with a dull, flat grey background. While conventional blur-enabler modules can force the full flagship blur back on, they often introduce severe frame drops, UI stutter, and delayed touch response.
Developed by fakerieh, Lite-Blur-Control-Center-for-HyperOS is an optimized, lightweight modification designed to resolve this dilemma. It restores the visual elegance of frosted background glass while deliberately disabling heavy real-time shader calculations, delivering smooth 60/120 FPS performance on modest hardware.
Key Optimizations
- No Real-Time Shaders: Instead of running continuous multi-pass Gaussian blur on every frame of the underlying wallpaper, the module utilizes optimized static or lightweight rendering tricks to simulate depth.
- Snappier Gestures: Opening animations are streamlined to ensure the notification shade and quick settings tiles appear instantly upon swiping down.
- Balanced Interface Elements: Blurs the Power Menu and Control Center panel while keeping the volume panel clean and responsive.
- Minimal RAM/CPU Usage: Prevents background memory bloat in
com.android.systemui, preventing aggressive low-memory killer interventions.
