Overview

Developed by daboynb, playcurlNEXT is a lightweight automation utility for rooted Android devices designed to keep Play Integrity spoofing configurations continuously updated.

Google regularly blacklists leaked OEM build fingerprints used by root users to pass Play Integrity attestation. When a fingerprint is revoked, apps requiring MEETS_DEVICE_INTEGRITY immediately stop working. playcurlNEXT automates fingerprint maintenance by regularly fetching verified, unbanned fingerprints and injecting them directly into your device’s active Play Integrity module.

Technical Architecture & How It Works

Scheduled Cron-Style Service Loop

The module operates through a simple background shell script initialized by service.sh:

  1. Boot Initialization: At every system boot, playcurlNEXT triggers the action.sh script provided by your installed Play Integrity Fix or Play Integrity Fork module to pull an active fingerprint.
  2. Periodic Interval Polling: A background loop sleeps for the duration defined in /data/adb/modules/playcurlNEXT/minutes.txt (defaulting to 60 minutes).
  3. Fingerprint Injection: When the timer fires, the module queries the remote community fingerprint repository via curl, validates the response payload, and writes the refreshed pif.json to the appropriate location.

Installation & Setup

  1. Verify that Play Integrity Fix or Play Integrity Fork is already flashed and active on your device.
  2. Download the latest playcurlNEXT-*.zip release.
  3. Flash the module using Magisk, KernelSU, or APatch.
  4. Reboot your device.
  5. Verify integrity status using a Play Integrity checker application.

Configuration & Usage

  • Custom Update Frequency: To customize how often fingerprints are refreshed, edit:
    /data/adb/modules/playcurlNEXT/minutes.txt
Enter an integer value between 1 and 1400 minutes. Reboot to apply the new schedule.

Troubleshooting & Common Issues

  • Attestation Still Fails: If attestation fails despite playcurlNEXT running, Google may have recently executed a ban wave that revoked all active community fingerprints before a new set was published. Trigger a manual sync or wait for community maintainers to publish fresh dumps.
  • Missing Curl Binary: If the updater fails to download fingerprints, ensure your root environment provides curl or install a BusyBox module.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can playcurlNEXT work without Play Integrity Fix installed?

No. playcurlNEXT does not spoof device properties by itself. It is an automated updater script that pulls valid fingerprints from community repositories and feeds them into your existing Play Integrity Fix or Fork installation.

How do I change how often playcurlNEXT checks for fingerprints?

Open /data/adb/modules/playcurlNEXT/minutes.txt in a text editor, enter your preferred interval in minutes (between 1 and 1400), save the file, and reboot your device.
