Overview

Pixelify Next, developed by BasGame1, is a comprehensive systemless suite designed to bring Google Pixel-exclusive features and services to non-Pixel Android hardware. Spanning Android versions 7.0 through 16, the module injects proprietary Pixel overlays, system permissions, and dynamic database flags required to unlock capabilities like Next-Generation Assistant (NGA), enhanced Google Photos editing tools, and Google Dialer Call Screening.

Rather than applying a crude global build fingerprint across the entire operating system—which frequently degrades device hardware compatibility and breaks camera configurations—Pixelify Next employs target-specific Zygisk spoofing to impersonate different Pixel generations on a per-app basis.

Prerequisites & Compatibility

Before flashing Pixelify Next, ensure your operating environment satisfies these baseline constraints:

  1. Root Manager: Magisk v24.0 or higher, or KernelSU with a functioning Zygisk implementation.
  2. Installation Requirement: Flashing must take place within the Magisk app or KernelSU application. Flashing through custom recoveries like TWRP, OrangeFox, or PBRP is explicitly unsupported and causes installation failures.
  3. Android Version: Android 7.0 (Nougat) through Android 16.
  4. DenyList / Exclusions: Ensure Google Play Services (com.google.android.gms) and its unstable process (com.google.android.gms.unstable) are configured in your DenyList / Shamiko hide lists to avoid integrity verification conflicts.

Documented Incompatibilities

The project documents severe vendor ROM incompatibilities that trigger immediate bootloops requiring a complete factory reset:

  • Realme UI on Android 14
  • OxygenOS on Android 14
  • AxionOS on Android 16
  • Samsung One UI: Most UI components (Pixel Launcher and boot animations) fail or crash on One UI. Users on One UI are advised to rely strictly on modular standalone submodules rather than the full suite.
  • LineageOS 23.2 (Android 16): Prone to intermittent bootloops depending on device architecture.

Installation & Configuration

Pixelify Next provides two deployment workflows: an interactive volume-key wizard during flashing, or headless automation via storage configuration files.

Automated Headless Setup

For automated or repeated installations, create a configuration file at:

/sdcard/Pixelify/config.prop

Populate config.prop with toggle values matching your desired feature set before flashing the Pixelify-*-no_VK.zip package. The installer reads this manifest and completes without prompting for volume button presses.

Post-Installation Setup Steps

To initialize Google services correctly following first boot:

  1. Google Play Store: Clear app storage for Google Play Store, open it for 10 seconds, force close it, and update the primary Google app. Disable automatic updates for Google Photos and Android System Intelligence to prevent Play Store builds from overriding patched binaries.
  2. Next-Generation Assistant (NGA): Ensure system and Gboard primary languages are set to an NGA-supported language (e.g., English US). Launch Google Assistant and allow it to download background voice resources over Wi-Fi.
  3. Google Dialer: Clear app data for Google Dialer, launch it briefly, force stop it, and reopen to load Call Screening flags.
  4. Google Photos: Clear data and keep your device connected to Wi-Fi while Google Photos downloads the 300–400 MB photo editor library.

Troubleshooting & Verification

  • Flag Patching Failures: Inspect /sdcard/Pixelify/flaglog.txt. If entries report Status: Error, Google Play Services was active in the background while SQLite databases were being patched. Reinstall the module after force-stopping GMS.
  • Launcher Crashes: If your default launcher crashes upon boot, navigate immediately to Android Settings > Default Apps > Home App and reselect your preferred launcher or Pixel Launcher.
  • Photos Editing Tools Frozen: If the Photos Editor remains stuck on “Editing Tool will install soon”, ensure the device is connected to unmetered Wi-Fi and reboot. If persistence issues continue, disable internal spoofing in the module WebUI.
